All classes emphasize

• Learning to speak a well-pronounced German
• Listening to authentic speaking and developing listening skills 
• Being introduced to effective learning strategies
• Coping with different cultural and social differences and recognizing similarities. 
• Learning about strategies for the reading of authentic texts (and literature)   
• Playing and experimenting with the language in a safe and comfortable learning environment
• Laughing and having fun (in your own language and/ or in German) !!

What we do

The  German Language and Culture Institute or GLCI  offers German language classes to adults who want to learn German in an alternative setting and for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons include:

• To connect with German-speaking relatives in Germany or elsewhere
• To travel to countries where German is spoken
• To discover  personal cultural heritage
• To challenge the mind and keep it fit
• To refresh the German  learned many years ago

Courses are scheduled at times that are considerate of the adults who work. 

Classes are kept small (max. 15 learners) to ensure quality of instruction and a pleasant and relaxed learning experience.
